The Cranbury Volunteer Fire Company is a 100% volunteer organization providing fire and rescue services to the residents of Cranbury and mutual aid to our surrounding communities.
The fire company operates out of the firehouse at 2 South Main Street, with our museum area and antique apparatus being stored in the front building.
Founded in 1898, the company currently operates 2 chief-command vehicles, a brush truck, a 100′ tower ladder, a 3,500 gallon water tanker, an engine, a rescue engine, a special services unit and a boat to meet the various needs and demands of dynamic emergency responses.

About Our Leadership
The fire department has an executive board as well as line officers who govern the business and operations of the department. The executive officers include the President, Vice President, Treasurer, a Recording Secretary, and a Corresponding Secretary, as well as a board of trustees. The line officers include the Chief, Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief, and Captain.
The executive board and trustees are responsible for the governance of the fire company, including the business matters and financials. The line officers handle the fireground command and operations and make the tactical decisions regarding the operations of the fire company for training and emergency responses.
