Brush 48 is a Ford F-450 with a custom utility body and pump designed for fighting fires in hard to reach areas or off-road. It is equipped with a 300-gallon water tank, a small tank for Class-A firefighting foam, as well as a pump and forestry-specific fire hose spooled on a reel on the back of the truck. It is also equipped with 4-wheel drive and a protective cage system to protect the truck when driving through the woods. The truck carries a chainaw, hand tools, lightweight firefighting gear, and basic fire extinguishers.
